Owner & Registered Manager
ALI GIBSON
I qualified with a Business Management (BSC) Honours degree and Level 5 leadership in Health & Social Care, with 24 years experience in business management, 18 years working in the social care sector and 10 years running my own social care business. My career in social care came at a time when our own family was tragically hit with the bad news of our own parents been diagnosed with terminal illnesses. Since then, I have been passionate about the welfare of people and promoting exceptional care and support. I have developed a keen interest in mental health issues, cognitive impairments and raising awareness of invisible disabilities. When not working (which isn’t very often) I enjoy my garden and the peace and tranquility of open space and digging up my vegetables. On a social basis, I enjoy meeting with friends and taking our dogs for nice long walks in the countryside.

Care Manager
THOMAS HART
Started in Business Management and Finance at university NVQ level 4 and was a former trainee accountant, but finance did not fuel my passion. Started an online trading business which became very successful, but grew too quickly! Quit this to focus more on family life.
Faced struggles myself, forcing my life to take a temporary turn for the worse and leading to homelessness. Found my feet with painting & decorating for 5 years, whilst working as a roofer for 3 years – all over the UK, doing residential and big commercial jobs.
Realised my passion for helping people and wanted to continue in social care, after joining Ali Gibson Support Limited, which was the perfect role for me. I worked my way up and now as a trainee Registered Manager I see the big difference good care makes when improving people's lives.
Play guitar, love SWFC and enjoy my music.

Hilary's House Hub manager
JAMIE JACKSON
I have been lucky enough to engage within my career of choice (and passion) and played football most of my working life for various football clubs in the North of England. I have also been lucky to work with people with physical disabilities for over a decade and this has become a chosen career path, particularly as my football career slowly comes to an end.
I have worked with people with varying physical and mental health disabilities over the last ten years and I have become interested in Neuro enablement and Brain Injuries.
Making a difference in people’s lives is extremely rewarding and pursuing a career in social care has helped me use my personable skills and understanding the daily challenges when living with a disability.
My determination provides a good balance of assertiveness to encourage people with various physical and mental health disabilities and to focus on positivity and setting achievable goals.
I have progressed my career within Ali Gibson Support and worked alongside my Sister, Ali to manage the business and share our passion in providing exceptional care.
My hobbies are clearly playing football and staying fit. I like watching documentaries; socialising with my friends, going to the cinema and eating out. I have a particular interest in politics and equality.

HR and Office Manager
TERESA DAVIES
I have spent most of my working career within the corporate sector managing the hospitality brands within Midland Railways and also working within the Tesco Supermarket Brand.
My role was managing multiple locations across South Yorkshire and Derbyshire. My career spans 25 years working within a large corporate structure and working directly with the general public, where I have managed small and large teams of employees with a larger focus on Human Resources & Finances, including Profit and Loss Accounts, Payroll and Invoicing.
I have a particular passion for auditing, due to working within the hospitality sector, and Health & Safety has always been an interest of mine when it comes to achieving impeccable ratings in line with Food Hygiene.
I came to work with Ali, as she is my sister and we decided my skills would really compliment the business growth. I have always really enjoyed meeting with customers in my previous roles and I felt working within the Social Care Sector would give me that direct access to people and help make a real difference in people’s lives.
Since joining Ali Gibson, my transferable skills have supported the business to run efficiently. It is also nice to be part of an organisation where we get to see the direct impact of our business and how it positively effects the people we support within the community.
When I am not working, I enjoy peaceful walks in the outdoors and exploring nature. I also enjoy relaxing and listening to music and spending time with my family.

Legals, Technology & Governance Executive
SALLI LABELLE PLATT
My background is in Digital Media (in London and Copenhagen for 20+ years). Ran a digital fulfilment limited business for 14 years, servicing private clients and big media agencies.
Followed this with a career change due to a growing interest in law stemming from a messy divorce.
Qualified with a first-class law degree LLB (Hons) and enjoyed 3 years+ working for the courts in Witness Support, supporting victims of crime for the Citizens' Advice.
Really enjoy grafting in the social care sector now, as it's all about people and supporting those who need it the most. Picking up where politicians left off! I learn something new everyday and thoroughly enjoy seeing people thrive.
Hobbies are; catching up with friends and family over a hearty meal and a good wine or two, delving in to ancient history, Egyptology and Khemetology, gardening, early morning dog walks at the reservoirs near home and running to the hills.

Deputy Care Manager
ANDREW RUTHERFORD
Spending much of my career in different trades, I have developed a practical approach to problem solving.
My former retail managerial position gave me the skills to interact with people of all backgrounds and the ability to problem solve.
I began a career in care around 2019; very much by accident when I came on board part-time, helping out.
It wasn't long before I fell in love with what we do and what we stand for and I carved a niche for handling complex cases within Ali Gibson Support.
My hobbies are tackle fishing and/or I enjoy heading to the tackle shop to stock up for my next trip.

Business Support Lead
LYNN LAVILL
Working in all areas of Sheffield has enabled me to build relationships and respect with a diverse range of people, particularly with the elderly. Throughout my working experience, I look to bring initiative and fresh ideas to groups and individuals and I have enjoyed working on various successful community projects in Sheffield, such as ; growing produce and recycling.
I am a highly motivated person and work well as part of a team and individually and have a caring personality. I feel we all have a duty to help and support all different people to live well and maintain their independence.
I have a passion for working with people in a caring and motivational role, assessing the needs of individuals and ensuring that their needs are met.
This thinking stems from my experience of keeping my own family together through sad times, being strong and thoughtful when understanding individuals' needs and just "being there" and listening, which can be a big help.
I love spending time with my two grandsons whom keep me on my toes and busy 😊. Reading is a hobby of mine and listening to music.
